Welcome to Hollyville, a picture postcard traditional Welsh cottage set in the beautiful and peaceful Teifi Valley. Here in the small village of Maesycrugiau, we have created, for our valued guests, a cosy, comfortable and warm place to stay whatever the season. We pride ourselves on offering healthy and tasty fare cooked in our cottage kitchen on the Aga just for you; we use organic and local produce whenever possible.

Elizabeth is a hobby beekeeper, the honey is served each morning on the breakfast table, together with home made jams using fruit collected from the garden. Our rare breed hens produce our eggs, freshly collected with deliciously golden yolks for you to enjoy however you like them, we can boast award winning Welsh cakes too!

John is a published author and historian, he will be more than happy to chat to you on his favorite subjects, castles, forts, local historic sites along with historic figures who made our history so wonderful. You may like to take one of his many tours which can be tailored to your personal requirements. Wales is the most fascinating place to explore which John finds so easy to bring to life for you.

Each of the pretty cottage bedrooms have been decorated in period style using traditional colors and fabrics. The beds are very comfortable, made up ready for you with fresh cotton linen. There is a welcome tray with a selection of beverages, a hairdryer, bathrobes, and color television are in the rooms for your comfort and convenience. Our guests are welcome to use the pretty sunny cottage garden which is delightful in summer months . There are some lovely walks from the door giving good views over the valley. The country lane is filled with snow drops in February, daffodils in March and bluebells in April/May, a peaceful stroll down our country lane is a perfect treat before breakfast. The sea is only half hours drive away. The coast is wild and wonderful with so much to see, exploring this part of Wales will be a wonderful surprise for you, helping to make it a memorable holiday that you will never want to end.

Directions

From Lampeter take the A485 towards Carmarthen. After passing through the small town of Llanybydder continue for about 2 miles. The Sign for Maesycrugiau is on the left and the turning is opposite immediately before the stone bridge. Hollyville will be found after about 1.5 miles on the right hand side.
Travelling time from Lampeter is about 20 minutes and 8 miles.
From Carmarthen take the A485 towards Lampter. After entering the Village sign for Llanllwni, continue for about 2 miles. On the left you will see Thomas' the Builder Merchants. Immediately after this turn left for Maesycrugiau. Continue for about 2 miles to the cross roads turn right. Continue through the small village for about 1 mile. Hollyville will be found on the left hand side.

Travelling time from Carmarthen is about 35 minutes and 17 miles.
