Cottage
We at Capel Dewi Uchaf
Country House have been providing 4 Star Bed and Breakfast for twelve
years, we now have a 5 star self catering cottage, providing luxury accommodation
for
those who wish to stay a little longer with us here in beautiful Carmarthenshire.
This a lovely large
and spacious ‘cottage’ fully centrally heated with a living
fire in the
lounge. Having three bedrooms. Bedroom One has a five foot bed and an
en suite shower room. Bedroom Two has a standard double bed along with
Bedroom Three which has three foot twin beds, these two rooms share a
lovely big family bath/shower room. All the bedrooms and family bathroom
are
on the first floor.
The ground floor
has a large entrance hall with a WC and extra shower room. Double, glazed
doors lead through to the double aspect lounge, French doors to the conservatory
dining facilities and the outside patio, dining pergola and garden with
views of the stunning
Towy Valley.
For your entertainment
we have a TV/Video, CD Player/Radio, games and jigsaw puzzles.
The kitchen is a
“wow” for the cooks in the family!
The Utility/Wet room
has plenty of room to peel off!
As a guest at Capel Dewi Uchaf Country House, using our self catering
cottage, rest
assured you will receive a warm Welsh welcome to Wales and the beautiful
county of
Carmarthenshire. We have stabling for up to five horses, with a turnout
paddock should you wish to include your horse in your holiday. Please
ask for a quote for your horse/horses.
There are excellent
beach and forest rides etc., all within easy driving/trailing distance.
We have 500 meters of fine salmon and sewin (sea trout) fishing available
along the bank of the River Towy. The river bank is an S.S.S.I., with
otters, kingfishers and all manner
of wildlife to observe. If you need tackle we have it for hire, make sure
you let us know
beforehand. You will require a National Rivers Authority License.
Bicycles for hire
either daily or weekly.
Bed and Breakfast is available in The Farm House
Our local village Restaurant, Y Polyn has a seasonal Modern British Menu
to suit all tastes,
serving lunches and dinner. Marianne and Sue, are very welcoming to locals
and visitors alike.
Included in your

at Home” in our licensed dining room. A six course meal can be ordered
to include an apéritif a selection of Welsh cheeses with fruit
& biscuits, choice of coffee & chocolates at £45 per person

minimum of six guests. Ideal for corporate or party bookings (Latest Booking
time by 10 a.m. the day before)
Private Fishing
Private fishing on the River Towy at £25 a day per person/per rod
50% reduction for our guests staying seven days or more. A license is
required for Salmon and Sewin (Sea Trout)

Directions
Take the M4
to junction 49, follow A48 to next roundabout signed to Carmarthen.
Proceed along the dual carriageway until LEFT turn, signed THE NATIONAL
BOTANIC GARDEN FOR WALES
Take the B4310 signed Nantgaredig, passing Y POLYN RESTAURANT, until the
junction with the B4300, then turn LEFT.
Travel along the B4300 for ¾ of a mile, you will see the sign on
your RIGHT for, CAPEL DEWI UCHAF COUNTRY HOUSE
Turn down the drive (taking care to make a wide sweep.
