Introduction
Penlan Isaf
is a 240-acre dairy farm with a herd of 200 cows. Penlan overlooks the
historical town of Kidwelly with it’s well preserved medieval Castle
built in 1106. Its most striking feature being the twin towered gatehouse
completed in 1422.
Enjoy superb panoramic views across to Gower and the surrounding Countryside
from the well-furnished sun lounge where visitors can relax with a cup
of tea and home made cakes.
Each bedroom is decorated to the highest standard with TV, tea and coffee
tray and hairdryer. The dining room contains many pieces of lovely period
furniture where visitors can relax over a tasty welsh breakfast consisting
of local produce and home made preserves.
Penlan is ideally situated for the Millennium Coastal Path at Llanelli
with its outstanding 8-mile beach and cycle track. The National Botanical
Garden and Aberglasney Garden are only 20 minutes away as is Dylan Thomas
Boathouse in Laugharne.
Local fishing
can be arranged for guests. Golf and riding are within 3 miles. A swimming
pool with all facilities is within a 5-minute car journey where visitors
are very welcome.
There are excellent walks in the area with the walk from Penlan to Kidwelly
castle being very popular. A variety of local inns are close by where
excellent bar snacks are available. Guests are very welcome at Penlan
where superb food, comfort peace and tranquillity are on offer.
