SHAKESHAFTS is perfectly
situated for touring. Set in the beautiful Towy Valley yet only 3 miles
from the busy market town of Carmarthen and 4 miles from the Botanical
Garden of Wales.

In 2000 Keith’s
Millennium project was to build an extension to our traditional welsh
cottage enabling us to have a change of direction in our working lives.
In the summer of 2001 we started B&B. The accommodation is in the
custom built annex with guest only dining room and Conservatory. All rooms
are furnished to high standards centrally heated with T. V. Tea and coffee
facilities. Keith’s breakfasts are made with our home grown tomatoes
and our free-range eggs.
We have 3 acres of land for guests to enjoy. Landscaped gardens and meadow.
Climb to the top of the meadow and enjoy wonderful Towy valley river views.
Sit in the 'look out' and use the binoculars to see the wild life (buzzards,
red kites and badgers) Relax in the garden on the patio or in the conservatory.
From the yard area see swans herons and ducks on the neighbouring pond.
Excellent location for Gardens- Botanical gardens of Wales 4 miles, Aberglasney
Gardens 8 miles. Close to Castles and coastline.
